Situation and Challenge

To facilitate a sustainable and responsible access to water for producers in the rural regions, and to minimize  costs associated with well drilling for agricultural  purposes, the mandate was to conduct a unified study  covering the majority of agricultural land in Québec.

Delivered services

  • Field data collection work through in person surveys, automated  and manual water level measurements, GPS localization of assets,  water sampling and recording of water flows

  • Holistic regional modelling of the water basins covering a total  area of over 1000 km2

  • Consolidated report for all studied regions, including quantity,  quality and recommendations for both surface and underground  water management

Key involvement

  • Team leader for field work, coordination of technical teams and  resources allocation

  • Responsible for water quality assessment, sampling management  and analysis

  • Report writing and preparation of public dissemination activities
